2007 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Notice of re-scheduling of Annual General Meeting

Thursday 20^th September 2007, Kirkintilloch Miners’ Welfare Social Club

I refer to my letter of 2^nd July in relation to the Annual General Meeting of the Scottish Federation for Coarse Angling.

Due to events outwith the Federation’s control, we have required to re-schedule the AGM by putting it back approximately 6 weeks. We have also required to change the venue for the meeting. As can be seen above the meeting will return to its old venue, Kirkintilloch Minedrs’ Welfare Club, Townhead, Kirkintilloch. It is anticipated that this will be the venue for all future SFCA meetings for the foreseeable future.

The meeting will commence at 7.30 prompt.

All agenda items submitted to me already have been noted and do not require to be re-submitted. All future agenda items must now be received by me by 31^st August 2007.

The meeting is open to all members of clubs affiliated to the SFCA, and to SFCA individual and corporate members.

Can I ask please that you encourage as many of your members as possible to attend. There are important issues which require to be canvassed at this meeting which affect your club members.

Could I please draw your attention to the following: 

Constitutional Amendments

 It would assist the committee greatly if you could send any proposed amendments to the Secretary as soon as possible to ensure they are circulated to the member clubs and included in the agenda. Please note that any such proposal requires to be submitted in writing, in terms of the Federation’s constitution. For the avoidance of doubt however, a proposal submitted by e-mail will be regarded as having been made in writing.

Election of Office Bearers

The following committee posts are due for re-election this year:

Nominations and elections for the above will be an agenda item this year.

Annual Subscription Reminder

To those clubs who have not yet submitted their affiliation fees please send a cheque for £50 to the Treasurer, Brian Lynn, at 29 Oak Avenue, Bearsden, Glasgow, G61 3HD. 

Club Secretaries 

Please let me know if any of your club officials have now changed. You can provide Names, Address, and Email info (very important this is completely accurate) at the AGM if you prefer. There are a number of clubs who do not keep their contact information up to date, which causes difficulty is issuing information.
