About Postal Coarse Angling Club

When the club was first formed it was only for post office employees.  The first members were basically the anglers who represented the Scottish Post Office team in the Post Office National competition.

The club was originally formed so that a team could be entered into the SFCA league.  This was to enable the members of the Postal team to gain valuable match experience against some of Scotland's best match anglers, which we hoped, would enhance our chances when it came to the Post Office national final.

The club has grown since and for the last few years we have had two teams in the SFCA league.  We have also opened our membership up so anyone now is free to join.

S.F.CA Summer League 2001

Postal A finished in 7th place in this years summer league and the B team finished in 9th place.   Peter Mitchell was the top performer in the individual league, he finished in 16th place.   The table below shows how the Postal anglers got on this year -
