SFCA Comments

A16.1 We support this proposal in principle, with the proviso that it will be essential for coarse angling interests to be a party to discussion on any management measures or protection programmes which emerge.

A16.2 As for A16.1 above.

A16.3 We support this proposal, subject to a clearer picture of what species are considered "native" in this context. There is at present no commonly agreed list of all the fish species regarded as "native"to Scotland, far less to any individual catchment. At the very least, we believe that pike, perch and roach should be included within that category as far as the Lomond catchment is concerned. With that proviso, we would welcome the opportunity to participate in the development and implementation of the programmes concerned, both via our contribution to LLFT and by more direct means.

R16.1 We support this proposal in principle, but implementation of it must be subject to the consideration regarding sampling methods which we describe in our comments on A14.1 above.
