S.F.C.A. - Scottish League Rules - amended 11/4/2000
Teams
- A team will consist of up to 10 anglers, all of whom must
be registered members of the club they represent.
- No more than 4 from that 10 can fish in any one match.
- Having fished for a given club, no angler can transfer to another club
during the league season concerned..
- The names of the 4 ‘core’ team members must be provided to the Match
secretary prior to the first match. If ‘core’ names are not
specifically provided then the anglers representing the team at the first
match will become ‘core’ by default. Once they have fished for
their allotted team ‘Core’ team members can not fish for any other
team.
Names of ‘reserves’ can also be advised to the Match Secretary.
Reserves are allowed fish for more than one team within their own club.
New anglers not previously assigned can join and fish for a club as a core
team member or as a named reserve.
The principle of this rule is to assist clubs with more than 1 team but
limited numbers of members (ie. 9 anglers to support 2 teams). Approval of
the use of reserves in this way is at the discretion of the Match
Secretary and abuse of the system will not be allowed.
League Divisions
- The Summer League will have one division.

morning of the match. Any teams which have not submitted
a team sheet and pools money before 8:30 will have to
wait until all other teams have drawn before they can
submit their team sheet and pools money, then draw. Any
team who does not submit their team sheet and pools money
immediately after all other teams have drawn, will have
their peg drawn for them by the match organisers and the

at 10:30 am at the latest
- The Match Secretary (or his nominated representative) is

sets of scales. Each League match section must be weighed
in using only one set of scales. Rules for weighing-in

- Teams that do not turn up for a league match will be
banned for the remainder of the series except if they
originate from H.M. Forces.
- After each team captain has drawn his teams peg number,

- Each League team will have 1 vote when league match
business requires a minor decision to be made 'on the
bank'. Serious matters are to be referred to the match
committee.

winner. If there is still a tie the pools money will be
shared equally.

receive 1 point.
- Nil points will be awarded when a team is not represented
in a section.
- League team positions and full results will be issued
