Scotland's Most Exciting Angling Competition

BIG money FINAL RETURNS FOR 2010!

The SFCA announced today that despite economic pressures AYRSTRIKE 2010 will go ahead with the first of 16 qualifier rounds taking place at Loch Ken on Sunday 22nd November.  Open to all Scottish Federation of Coarse Angling (SFCA) members, the Final will be held on Sunday 30th May 2010 at Springwater Fisheries, Ayr.

Following on from its huge success in 2008 and 2009, AYRSTRIKE 2010 is again set to attract competitors from all over Scotland and the north of England in a bid to net the largest cash prize in Scottish fishing history.  More than 200 anglers are expected to take part in AYRSTRIKE 2010, with the winner from each qualifier going through to the Final at Spring Water Fisheries, near Ayr on Sunday 30th May 2010.

Gus Brindle, President of The Scottish Federation of Coarse Angling says: "This event offers a unique opportunity to promote the competitive sport of coarse angling in Scotland to a wider audience and ultimately, encourage more into the activity.  In its first two year’s it has been extremely popular and I am confident that 2010 will be no different".
