Team Champions - Magiscroft Select

Rab Crossan reminded everyone why he has won more big matches in Scotland than anyone, by winning his fourth Scottish National title with a great performance on a very windy, difficult day.

Rab has made recent a habit of going close from unfancied pegs at Magiscroft but he turned the tricky conditions to his advantage this time with a well earned win from peg 4 on the Main Loch. He caught mainly skimmers to 8oz with most of his fish around 4ft deep up in the water loosefeeding pinkies. Jim Leckie was catching Rab up fast on peg 2 but a quiet last 30 minutes meant he had to settle for second.

Magiscroft Select (Rab, Gary McKay and Chris Paton) took the team event comfortably ahead of JB Angling.

Thanks again to DAIWA Sports for top quality sponsorship prizes including TD Fast Carpin rods for 1st and 2nd and plenty of Hydrolastic for the other places.
