A winning end to a winning season saw Monklands 'B' take the SFCA Scottish league team title after a comfortable victory on the Clyde. 3 more section wins for Rab Crossan, Dean Irving and George Glen repeated the pattern from the previous match and made the result another convincing one for the 'B' team.
Monklands 'C' continued their strong performances taking 2nd spot on the day and also in the final league table ahead of Monklands 'A'.
Ewan Weed took individual honours on the day with a fine 2.780 kg catch of small roach and dace. He beat Steve Hunt and Darren Ferguson in a small fish race on Glasgow Green though the rest of the match sections fished poorly. This brought the individual league to an incredibly tight finish with Ewan just doing enough to beat Rab Crossan and Barry Morgan on overall weight, with all three tied on 45 points.
Monklands 'B' also defeated Monklands 'C' to win the league Knock-Out trophy.
