2002 Summer League Match 5
Sunday 1st September - Magiscroft Fishery, Cumbernauld
Monklands 'B' powered to a commanding victory in the penultimate round setting themselves up as hot favourites to win the league barring a disaster in the last match. Rab Crossan and Dean Irving led the way for the 'B' team with 1st and 2nd Individual places and two section wins - George Glen and Davie Corcoran chipped in with a section first and second to record an almost perfect 39 points out of 40.

Rab took mainly carp to 1.5 lb with some Ide on the Magiscroft Island Pond for his winning 3.600 Kg with Caster being the successful bait on the day. |
The Individual league table is very tight going into the last round - Stephen McCaveny, Barry Morgan & Davie Corcoran are tied for the lead with 45 points each but Ewan Weed and Rab Crossan are only one point behind.
