Scottish National Championships 2002Sunday 18 August - River Clyde, Swanston St & Glasgow Green
Davie Corcoran is the first winner of the SFCA Golden Peg competition and took the 2002 Scottish National Championships in the process. He collected the £551 Golden Peg pool and match pools to pick up over £650. Davie made no mistake after drawing one of the 5 Golden Pegs at Swanston St on a difficult rising and running River Clyde. He took over 40 small dace for 1.420 Kg, well clear of Bryan Hewitt and Rab Crossan in 2nd & 3rd. Monklands B were also clear winners of the team event and George Glen, Rab Crossan and guest Stevie Frew, didn't need Davie's catch to fend off Monklands A.
