A photo finish in the team event saw Monklands "E" just edged out by clubmates Monklands "A" on weight when they tied on 44 points. The River Clyde was in unspectacular form but provided fairly even sport for a team match.
John Callaghan won the match with 2.900kg of Roach and Dace in one of the newly cut pegs between Swanston St and Shawfield Bridge. Though these pegs are very deep water, over 20ft, they held plenty of fish on the day. 2nd place Brian Lynn and 3rd placed Dougie Garmory were both pegged on Glasgow Green that turned out to be the best section.
Monklands "A" extended their lead at the top of the league to 16 points over Monklands "B" with two matches to go - see Team League Table.
Another good section win for Ewan Weed saw him take over the lead in the Individual League Table just one point ahead of the consistent Davie MacAuley.
