Karl Altdorfer added the Scottish National to his Scottish Pairs trophy to make 2001 a memorable year. In contrast to many of the field Karl found his roach and dace close in on his peg in the Willows. Though sport tailed of for everyone, Karl's flying start gave him a lead on Jim Leckie who came agonisingly close, only 30g behind.
Monklands 'B' took the team title with consistent catches on a disappointing day on an out of sorts river.
