Karl Altdorfer completed an amazing treble of all three SFCA national championships held on the Clyde in 2001 by winning the All Scotland Open to add to his Scottish National and Scottish Pairs titles.
The river was only just fishable and in flood after heavy rain but Karl worked away on the tip to pick up mainly eels from his peg just upstream of the subsidence at Swanston St. Mark Cook and Pete Mitchell were both in the Willows at Swanston St in deeper water and they just edged out Rab Crossan into 4th.
JB Dick Clegg put in a consistent team performance on a difficult day for a clear team win over Monklands A.
