WANT TO FISH FOR SCOTLAND?

As discussed at the various meetings and in the Match Committee minutes I am once again asking for nominations for this years events. A slight change from last year is that anglers no longer need to go through their clubs and can simply talk to me. You will also be aware of the new eligibility criteria this year. As also mentioned at the Match Comm meeting I am wanting to introduce new anglers into the events this year.

We are participating in 3 events this year.

Wales v Scotland at Cricketh, North Wales, 10th and 11th July.

My main aim with this event is to try new anglers and anglers that haven't fished internationals for a while, and hope for this to make up around 6/7 anglers for the team. The venue is a commercial fishery with large weights of silvers and small carp expected. Leaving on Wed 7the July in the evening practicing Thursday Friday with the match on the Saturday and Sunday, returning on the Sunday evening.

Teams of 8 and I am looking to take 9 anglers

Six Nations Championship, Sully sur Loire, France, 14/15th August.

Teams of six on a venue 150km south of Paris. Main fish expected to be skimmers and catfish. Leaving on the evening Tuesday 10th August with a view to practicing wed, thurs, fri, returning on the Monday 16th after the match.

World Championships, Willbroek, Belgium, 4/5 the Sept.

Teams of five (taking six anglers) on this North Belgian venue with skimmers expected to be the main species on the large rowing course. Leaving Saturday 28th August returning Monday 6th September.

Cost for participating in these events I will discuss with individuals.

As mentioned anglers can nominate directly to myself by the Federation Cup on the 9^th May and I will announce the teams in the middle of May. As always I'm also interested in people who'd like to come along and experience the events as non-anglers also so again please contact myself.
