| BCUK Team Scotland had to fight hard to retain
their hold on the Celtic Cup but they put in a great performance to win
both days and record Scotland's first ever away international win.
Wales unfortunately had to pull out of the event at the last minute but that didn't spoil an excellent match and special Irish hospitality. Hard fishing was predicted but the Roach have just started to move into the Eonish stretch so most could catch well on 13m pole. The average weight was 12lb making for decent fishing and a tight match. Damien Maddock had the top weight of 24lb 3oz and that helped him to a winning individual total just ahead of George Glen. Thanks to Bobby and all who helped make a great event (well ... what we can remember after Sunday night). Roll on next year in Wales. |
