World Championships

This is the premier International match fishing event and is run by the world angling governing body the Federation Internationale de la Peche Sportive en eau douce (FIPSed).

Anglers from up to 40 countries compete for Team and Individual medals fished over 2 days to full International rules. The event requires a significant commitment from the selected anglers who travel to the host country for 5 days intense official practice ahead of the match weekend.

This year sees Team Scotland travel to the Brussels-Charleroi Canal at Ronquieres, Belgium for the event which takes place from 4-10th September and the team will be looking to improve on a run of mediocre results in the past three years.
