MINUTES OF THE COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT MEETING 25th OCT 2000

HELD AT BRITISH LEGION CLUB, WHITBURN

Present: K Armstrong, P Maude, G Glen, S Clerkin, R woods.

Apologies: F Larg, R Marshall, J Hynd, And M Weed.

I would first of all like to thank all those who attended for a very productive meeting.

COACHING AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT POLICY

The main topic of discussion was the Coaching and Youth Development Policy, which is attached.

There were a few changes and suggestions to the original document, which were both intuitive and productive. There is only one area, which I have still to get some more detail on, that being the subject of insurance.

I now feel confident that the policy will be accepted by all clubs and also will form the basis of an application for funding to SportsScotland.

WEB PAGES

This subject was again discussed and G Glen produced a copy of the SFCA site, however he still requires information from a variety of clubs namely Fife CAC, Linlithgow AC, Kincaple AC and Postal AC. If anyone has any information they would like to be put onto the SFCA site please contact George as soon as possible.

Any club wishing to preview the site should go to www.glenmac.f9.co.uk/sfcatest

There was another point of discussion, in that I have a web site building package which I am willing to build sites for clubs who wish it, these can be linked to the SFCA site, once built the passwords and user names would be passed to the club so they could edit and update as required, a copy of the web package would also be given to the individual in the club deemed responsible for the site, a club decision.

I offer this service, not to steal George's thunder but to alleviate some of the pressure, as he is involved in so many other SFCA projects.
