Coaching Assistant Volunteers Required

At present we are in the process of looking for potential coaching assistants to help out with various coarse angling coaching programmes.

At the moment a one-day foundation coarse is being prepared that would allow volunteers to work alongside our fully trained level 2 coaches. This would mean our coaches could work with a greater number of pupils and allow the assistants the opportunity to participate in the coaching environment without the need for carrying out the extensive level 2 qualification.

The foundation course is likely to cover the coaching basics such as communication, child protection and health and safety, providing you with the knowledge required to safely become involved in the coaching of others. The beauty of it is you would always be working alongside and under the supervision of a level 2 coach.

This is the first step in how we hope to officially bring online what we already know is an active volunteer base in the sport of coarse angling and would be ideally suited to both those that already participate in some basic “coaching” or those that have always wanted to but were not sure of the correct way to go about it.

We are still finalising the details but to get the project running initially we need volunteers to register an interest.

If you are keen and want to talk it over or get any more information on the above as well as put you name forward please feel free to get in touch.
