ANTI-DOPING – List of Prohibited Substances and Methods 2022

The World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) has published the new list of prohibited substances and methods which can be found at:

https://www.wada-ama.org/sites/default/files/resources/files/2022list_final_en.pdf

More information can be found on the CIPS website, in the section devoted to doping: https://www.cips-fips.com/cips/antidopage.html

All anglers competing at National or International level are reminded that the WADA and UKAD rules apply to them and that they are responsible for anything found in their system, regardless of how it got there or whether there was/is any intention to cheat.  All anglers, coaches and support personnel should make themselves aware of the contents of the prohibited substances and methods list so that they don’t receive an unintentional ban from sport.

Where individuals are required, for medical reasons, to take prescriptions medications that are notified on this list they may request an exemption for therapeutic use (TUE) before their participation at any championships. More details of the process for applying for a TUE can be found at:

All anglers competing at National or International level are advised to download the FREE 100% ME App via the links below in order to ensure that they have access to the most up to date information at all times:
