Angling Scotland appoints Marketing, Branding & Communications Director

The Angling Scotland Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Macgregor as Executive Director of Marketing, Branding and Communications.

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of Digital Marketing & Transformation, joining Angling Scotland from Spain’s leading carp fishing & lifestyle magazine ”CARPdiem”, where over 12 years as Founder and Editor-in-Chief he has lead the business vertically diversifying into television. In 2017 his award winning TV program “un escoces en iberia”, was double nominated at the – No Todo Film Festival – Madrid. 

Andrew has also captained the Spanish National carp fishing team since 2008. In 2015 his team won 5th place at The World Carp Classic (WCC). Andrew has invaluable commercial knowledge in the sector and is a leading sports fishing consultant in Europe. 

With over 15 years experience in Technology, Digital Marketing, Media, Publishing and Editorial he is exactly what’s required to help drive communications and marketing strategy, ensuring transformation of Angling Scotland and the three SGB´s beyond the established existing network.

Angling Scotland Board member Gus Brindle, Chairman of the Scottish Federation for Coarse Angling commented, “Andrew brings not only an enormous amount of technical knowledge and experience to the role, but a fresh perspective and an enthusiasm to help us deliver a bright and sustainable future for the sport, and for all anglers in Scotland.”
