CONSULTATION – SFCA ANNUAL BUSINESS PLAN 2018-19

As at this time every year, the SFCA Executive Committee would like to invite comments and feedback on our proposed Annual Business Plan for the coming year.

Please note that the Risk Register within the plan is still in the process of being updated.

The Plan has been drafted with the aim of protecting the future of coarse angling in Scotland, raising the profile of our sport and increasing participation and membership  and takes into account all of the potential external influences that are having, or indeed could have, an impact on coarse angling interests. That said, given the significant number of issues that we are currently dealing with, it would be easy for us as a totally volunteer Executive Committee to overlook things that may be important to you as members. This is therefore your opportunity to have your say on what we have set forth as our Targets and Priorities for Action for the coming year.

Due to a delay in the notification of sportscotland investment to Scottish Governing Bodies, we do not yet know how much Scottish Angling has been allocated for Effective Organisation and Development against its 4 Year One Plan for Angling.  For this reason some of the targets in our Draft Annual Business Plan may need to be adjusted depending on the level of Investment paid to Angling Scotland.  The aspiration however is to still achieve the targets that we have set, even if we have to investigate alternative funding sources.
