INTERNATIONAL TEAM MANAGER CALLS FOR NOMINATIONS

In the past few years we have increased the size of the squad, introducing new anglers to great effect in the Celtic Cup, Sensas Challenge and Home International.  This is something that I am keen to continue to do.  Indeed, with an increase in the number of events we are invited to field team in, it is essential.  I would therefore like to formally request nominations to represent Scotland in this year’s International Events.

At present it is planned to enter teams into the following competitions:

  • March – Sensas Challenge, Gloucester Canal, England
  • September – World Championships for Nations, Brussels-Charleroi, Belgium
  • October – Home International, Loch Ken, Scotland

Depending upon the number of nominations additional events may be considered.

Obviously each match will require time off for travel and practice time and I will discuss this with those who nominate.  Due to changes in the funding arrangements all those selected will be required to actively engage in fund raising activities as the cost of representing Scotland is sadly, at present, borne entirely by the individuals selected.

Nominations Process, Eligibility and Key Criteria

Please return your nominations either via your club or direct to me ideally by 1st February 2017 or by email to teamscotland@sfca.co.uk.

The nomination process for the Carp Team and possibly a Lure Team will be set out separately.

If you require any more information please contact me directly.

Tight Lines,
