ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – THU 31st MARCH 2016
The SFCA AGM will take place in the Kirkintilloch Miners Club on Thursday 31st March 2016, commencing at 2000 hrs. The meeting is open to all individual, club and corporate members of the SFCA.
Member clubs are reminded that any proposals for constitutional change must be received in writing by 2359hrs on Thursday 17th March along with any other Agenda items. Proposals and Agenda items are to be forwarded by email to email@example.com.
There is still a need to identify an Independent, Non Executive Director for Marketing, Media and Sponsorship. The incumbent does not need to be an angler or have any angling experience as we are looking for someone with commercial marketing, media and/or sponsorship experience to bring a fresh perspective to an area where we definitely have room for improvement. Clubs are encouraged to nominate individuals who they believe have the requisite skills and may be willing to take up the appointment. Individual members may also apply.
The undermentioned Federation Officers/Executive Committee members have given notice that they wish to stand down at the AGM and nominations/volunteers are therefore sought to take on these roles. If any individual wishes to stand for election for either of these post posts they should notify their intent to the Chairman in writing by 2359hrs on Thursday 17th March along with a short CV:
Federation Officer: Robert Watson stepping down as Honorary Secretary
Executive Committee Members:
Allan Pellow stepping down as Child Protection Officer and also as Junior International Team Manager.
Both individuals are thanked for the work that they have done in support of the Federation and Scottish Coarse Angling during their tenure.
In additional to the above, the post of Chairman (currently filled by Gus Brindle) is due for re-election at the meeting. If any club or individual wishes to nominate to stand against him the candidate’s name needs to be forwarded to the Secretary and Chairman by 2359hrs on Thursday 12th March along with a CV.

A full copy of the Agenda and any proposals for constitutional change will be sent to all club Secretaries by email by 2359hrs Thu 24th March to allow club officials to consult with their members. All paid up member clubs are requested to confirm their email contacts to the Chairman at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Clubs and Individual Members are reminded that a copy of the Draft Annual Business Plan for 2016/17 has been published on the website recently for consultation. The Plan will be put before the AGM for adoption so any proposed amendments need to be received by the Chairman by Thu 17th March.
