SFCA AGM – Thu 26 Mar 15 – Kirkintilloch Miners Club
The SFCA AGM will take place in the Kirkintilloch Miners Club on Thursday 26th March 2014, commencing at 2000 hrs. The meeting is open to all individual, club and corporate members of the SFCA.
Member clubs are reminded that any proposals for constitutional change must be received in writing by 2359hrs on Thursday 12th March along with any other Agenda items. Proposals and Agenda items are to be forwarded by email to secretary@sfca.co.uk and chairman@sfca.co.uk.
There is still a need to identify an Independent, Non Executive Director for Marketing, Media and Sponsorship. The incumbent does not need to be an angler of have any angling experience as we are looking for someone with commercial marketing, media and/or sponsorship experience to bring a fresh perspective to an area where we definitely have room for improvement. Clubs are encouraged to nominate individuals who they believe have the requisite skills and may be willing to take up the appointment. Individual members may also apply.
All Federation Officers posts are currently filled but the Honorary Treasurer (currently filled by Ronnie Armstrong) is due for re-election at the meeting. If any club or individual wishes to nominate to stand against him the candidate’s name needs to be forwarded to the Secretary and Chairman by 2359hrs on Thursday 12th March along with a CV.

John Rae has been double hating both the Coaching Officer and Development Officer posts for the past two years. With work increasing in this area it is hoped to select a suitable individual to take on the Development Officer role at the AGM. Again, if any club or individual wishes to nominate for this post the candidate’s name should be forwarded to the Secretary and Chairman by 2359hrs on Thursday 12th March along with a CV.

A full copy of the Agenda and any proposals for constitutional change will be sent to all club Secretaries by email by 2359hrs Thu 19th March to allow club officials to consult with their members. All paid up member clubs are requested to confirm their email contacts to the chairman at chairman@sfca.co.uk as soon as possible.
A copy of the Draft Annual Business Plan for 2015/16 will be published on the website later today for consultation. The Plan will be put before the AGM for adoption so any proposed amendments need to be received by the Chairman by Thu 12th March.
