Magiscroft hang on to secure Summer League Title
With Magiscroft taking a 9 point lead into the final league match at Broom Fisheries on Sun 12th October, Daiwa ‘A’ knew they would have to put in an excellent performance to overhaul them and take the league title.
For their part, Magiscroft knew that they were going into the final match without Colin Hart who was on holiday and who had been leading the league individually going to final round. Would his absence cost them? Would it be enough to allow Daiwa ‘A’ to take the title.
Sadly for Daiwa ‘A’, despite fishing an excellent result in winning the match on the day, and pulling back a huge 7 points on the leaders, it was not enough and Magiscroft hung on to take the title and in doing so qualify to represent Scotland in the 2015 World Club Championships in Slovakia.
