SMALLEST ENTRY WINS DAIWA SPECIMEN SHIELD
After a considerable amount of discussion and debate we are finally able announce the results of the Daiwa Specimen Shield Competition 2013/14 and the winner of the £500 Tackle Voucher which was kindly donated by Daiwa.
Deciding on the winner prompted significantly more debate than had been anticipated and two of the entries being new Scottish Records further complicated the decision. In the end any one of the three finalist could have won the title but in the end it was decided that the prize should go to Gavin Postlethwaite for his 1lb 9oz Crucian Carp – a new Scottish Record, pictured below.
Runners up were John Whitelaw with his 6lb 6oz Chub – also a new Scottish Record,
and Paul Rogers with his 32lb 2oz Mirror Carp.
Given the difficulty that the committee had in make a decision, I am delighted to announce that Daiwa have kindly agreed to increase their support for the event to include two additional prizes for the two runners up who will each receive a Tackle Voucher worth £100.
With the competition for 2014/15 already under way, if you catch that fish of a lifetime make sure that you enter the competition for your chance to win. Full details can be found by clicking the link below:
