SFCA Match Secretary’s post remains Vacant as season looms
Calling all Clubs and Match Anglers
As you will be aware, we have been actively looking for a Match Secretary for this season’s SFCA matches which commence in May as per the recently announced Match Calendar.
Sadly, as yet no-one has come forward.
As the season is looming ever closer, I would like to urge all clubs to raise the matter with their members and try to identify someone willing to take on this vital role. Similarly, if there are any individual members who feel that they may like to assume the post I would love to hear from them.
Brian Doherty has kindly agreed to collate the match results and update the website, which takes a large part of the pressure out of the job, but we still need someone to physically run the matches, pegging, draws and results on the day etc.
Should no volunteer be forthcoming the only alternative will be to revert to the old system whereby each club will be required to take turns to run matches although this obviously does not give us the consistency that is required particularly for the League, MAOTY and League of Champion Events.
If anyone requires more information please contact myself as ideally I’d like to have the new Match secretary on board by the end of March.
